The Line Cook is responsible for station set-up and general food preparation. Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure food is prepared in a timely manner, while adhering to all food safety practices and precautions.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
Prepare food for service (chop vegetables, butcher meat, prepare sauces, etc.).
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Ensure that food is prepared and plated with the highest standards of quality.
Coordinate timing of dishes and prepare menu items with a sense of urgency.
Answer, report and follow instructions from the Chef team.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow proper storage and sanitation procedures. Utilize kitchen equipment according to food safety protocol.
Contribute to a positive atmosphere and help create a team oriented work environment that aligns with the company values.
Take on side tasks as requested by management.
